NSW Jewish Board of Deputies
The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies is the official roof body of the Jewish
community in New South Wales. Comprising sixty three communal organisations the
Board is recognised and acknowledged by the State Government, its agencies, the
media, and the Churches as the representative body of the Jewish community. Its
speaks on the community's behalf on all matters affecting the status, welfare
and interests of NSW Jewry.
Among its wide ranging activities the Board actively combats anti-Semitism
and racism, promotes positive interaction with other ethno/religious groups,
maintains close links with the media and initiates public awareness and
educational campaigns on Jewish issues and on behalf of Israel.
